outdoor cooking grates - what you need to know

Life is a beautiful thing. Here are some basic safety tips for camping, hiking in the woods, and campfires.

Spiked soles that clamp to the soles of your boots, called crampons are required for keeping traction on the ice. If you start early then when the time comes for you to head out you just need to put together all the items and start packing. You can buy bulbs for your flashlight for as cheap as about six dollars.

Environment can range from freezing to sweltering hot, even in the same day, as the altitude and weather changes. Whenever the surface you are climbing on is frozen, you need to dress to prevent frostbite. Battery powered lanterns tend to not work well in colder climates as the batteries tend to run down faster due to the cold.

The climbers are required to wear safety equipment that does nothing to make the climb easier, but provides protection from falls. Hiking trips are not only a lot of fun they are also very beneficial to your health. When you're in the middle of the woods, remember, you can't go to back to the outfitter to get more stuff.

Make sure you always check your equipment. Campfire cooking will bring everyone together for an enjoyable evening of storytelling and great food.
