camping in ohio

We have all seen great lists of camping essentials, but there are some items you should not do without. All campers will need some type of lantern gas, battery, or candle.

There are places to hike in every state and it is pretty easy to find info on-line these days. Although hiking on your own can seem like an exiting adventure, it is a lot safer to go hiking in a group. Dress in layers starting with a thin layer of clothing against your skin.

Try to flex and exercise your ankles at least several times in the week or two before your trip. As difficulty increases, however, so does the amount of stuff you need. Some camping flashlight models use incandescent or strong xenon lamps that can be adjusted in brightness at the same time adjusting the heat it generates.

Hot dogs cooked on a stick over crackling flames is always a nice camping meal. All in all, try to ensure you are well prepared, avoid solo trips the first time, check all your equipment before you leave and get some first aid training.
